Just when you were getting used to Facebook’s new Graph Search, the sneaky social media giant rolled out new and (much) improved Page Insights to seemingly random users. If you’re a social media marketer, chances are you’ve had a laundry list of suggested features for Page Insights. After exploring, we have to say we’re pretty impressed with the improvements. Check it out:
First, a general overview of how much better everything is about to be.
This is one of the best new Page Insights features. Before, if you wanted to see how many likes, shares, or comments a particular post received, you had to download the Excel file and sift through metrics with slightly convoluted names (i.e. “virality” and “engagement”). While it was simple to figure out what activities comprised these metrics, it’s much more straightforward now – and all in one place.
Not only can you see likes, shares and comments for individual posts more easily, you can now find out how those who engaged with your posts are similar or different, further helping you customize your social media strategy.
We haven’t seen many reports about the new and improved Page Insights, but expect to see plenty of reviews from the social community as Facebook continues to roll out the new features.
